Lavosept® for skin, for instruments, and Anticovid
Three lines that look similar on a shelf and are formulated for different jobs. Using the wrong one is either wasteful or ineffective, depending on which way round you get it.
The three jobs
Skin
Formulated to be used on hands and skin many times a day. That constrains what can be in it — and it is why it contains emollients that an instrument product does not need.
Instruments and surfaces
Lavosept® K. Formulated for material compatibility and contact time on a hard surface, available as a concentrate or ready to use. Not for skin.
Anticovid
A line positioned for the period it was named after, notified separately. Ask us what the current status and labelling is for your market.
Why the wrong choice is a problem
An instrument product on skin is at best drying and at worst irritating; nothing in its formulation is designed for repeated contact with a barrier you need to keep intact. A skin product on instruments is expensive, and its contact time and material compatibility were never established for that use.
The label is the authority: it states what the product is for, what to dilute it to, and how long the surface must stay wet.
